FAVORITE THINGS

This is my comprehensive list of my favorite things.

Favorite Feelings

1. Being kissed on my neck
2. Q-Tips in my ears
3. A towel drying my face after a hot shower
4. That first sip of coffee
5. An Orgasm
6. Hopping in a warm bed after a long day, and then flipping my pillow to the cold side after a good thirty minutes
7. A familiar hand, softly resting on my shoulder
8. Cleaning rice under a lukewarm faucet with my hands
9. ANYTHING OVERTLY FUR, chests, blankets, walls
10. Slipping on any article of clothing directly out of a dryer cycle

Favorite Sounds

1. My Mother humming.
2. A pentatonic scale, also known as the black keys on a piano
3. Opening a pop can
4. Arabesque No.1 by Claude Debussy
5. The sound of a basketball, swooshing a basketball net
6. The sound of a disc golf disc, perfectly hitting the upper part of the chains
7. A door bell, the ding dong, a 4th in terms of chords
8. A simple sexual moan
9. Being in the middle of nowhere, hearing only the sound of the wind moving the grasses
10. The crackle of a vinyl record

Favorite Smells

1. My parent’s house, that smell of home and the comfort that comes with it
2. Fresh cut grass
3. Cedar wood 
4. Freshly baked bread, preferably French, and preferably smelled at the crack of dawn
5. Acqua Di Parma
6. Rain in the city, the smell of the sweating asphalt
7. An old book, more so, an old bookstore stocked to the brim and in a place with higher humidity so that that mold smell is just right
8. Puppy paws
9. Clean laundry
10. Clove cigarettes and chocolate pipe tobacco

Things that instantly make me happy

1. My dog welcoming me home
2. Hearing ‘I love you’
3. Mom inviting me over for dinner
4. Knowing a friend is pregnant and keeping the baby
5. Hearing from an old friend and the update on their life that follows
6. Your drunk texts
7. Heart-felt comments of appreciation
8. Anytime my brother posts a video on my facebook
9. The disc golfers being in town
10. Meeting a large group of friends at one of my favorite bars
